Henley’s Night Photography

Time for another Throwback Thursday! While sifting through my external hard drive, I found photos from the night photography class I took at Henley’s Photo in Bakersfield two years ago. They changed ownership a few months ago, so I’m not sure if they still offer classes.

The class I took was about three hours and focused on taking photos at night. It was such a fun experience! I was a little nervous about going, just because I didn’t know anyone, but it was so much fun. I wish I could remember the instructor’s name… he was wonderful.

After a short lecture, we hit the streets of Bakersfield. We set up tripods along the street and photographed light trails from cars. There were also a few planets visible in the sky, so we tried to capture those as well. To wrap up the class, we painted with light! By the end, our little group of photo nerd strangers was laughing and bonding.
